
WAIVER
1. Damage Waiver Overview
By Booking one of Seaside Truck Rental Vehicles, the renter acknowledges responsibility for the proper use and care of the
rental vehicle provided by Seaside Trucks Bonaire (“the Company”). This Damage Waiver reduces
the renter’s financial liability in the event of vehicle damage, provided all terms and conditions listed
below are respected.
2. Coverage
The Damage Waiver covers:
- Accidental damage to the vehicle body, interior, and standard equipment caused during normal
use on public and approved roads.
- Theft or vandalism, provided a formal police report is filed within 24 hours and the keys and key
locker remain in the renter’s possession.
The Damage Waiver does not cover:
- Damage caused by reckless driving, speeding, or off-road misuse.
- Damage to tires, rims, undercarriage, or suspension caused by driving on unapproved terrain.
- Water damage from saltwater exposure or beach driving.
- Lost or damaged keys, key locker, or lockbox.
- Personal belongings or equipment (including dive gear, cameras, etc.).
3. Driving Restrictions
To protect both the vehicle and Bonaire’s natural environment:
- Off-road driving is permitted only on officially recognized roads and tracks.
- High-speed off-roading is strictly prohibited.
- Driving on beaches, sand dunes, coral areas, or salt flats is not allowed under any circumstances.
- The renter must drive in accordance with all local traffic laws and environmental regulations at all times.
Violation of these restrictions will result in full liability for any damages and possible additional
cleaning or restoration fees.
4. Environmental & Local Regulations
Seaside Trucks Bonaire operates in full respect of STINAPA Bonaire (the island’s National Parks Foundation) and its nature protection policies.
Renters agree to:
- Avoid driving or parking in any area designated as a marine park, dive site access zone, or
protected habitat except where permitted.- Refrain from disturbing wildlife, feeding animals (outside designated areas), or disposing of waste
improperly.
- Respect signage and barriers in all national park and coastal areas.
Failure to comply may result in fines or penalties imposed by STINAPA or local authorities, which
will be the renter’s responsibility.
5. Accident or Damage Procedure
In case of accident, theft, or vehicle damage:
1. Stop immediately and ensure everyone’s safety.
2. Contact Seaside Trucks Bonaire as soon as possible.
3. Notify the Bonaire Police Department to file an official report if required.
4. Do not move the vehicle until authorized (unless it poses a danger).
6. Liability
The renter remains responsible for:
- Any deductible amount specified in the rental agreement.
- All damages or losses resulting from misuse, negligence, or violation of this agreement.
The Damage Waiver becomes void if terms in sections 3 or 4 are violated.
